Miniatures Galore

Here are more miniatures, from the Gulf South Miniature Show in different years, and the NAME National Convention in Houston in 1999.
Front View, Cajun Cabin Cajun Cabin, interior

I made this Cajun Cabin in a workshop at the Gulf South Miniature Show several years ago. The wood is cypress, hand-cut by Keith Long, who taught the workshop with his wife and daughter. Some of the furniture inside was made in another workshop later on, under Wayne Lasch.

The Forge at Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Lafitte's Cabin Room

Another year, Jean Lafitte, our well-known local pirate, was featured in several ways. The vignette for that year was Lafitte's cabin room. A special workshop was the forge in Lafitte's blacksmith shop. There is a building in the French Quarter called Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, a popular bar.

Christmas Scene

At the NAME National Convention in Houston in 1999, they had some wonderful exhibits, and this Christmas scene was one of them.
